Any positive stories after high HCG low papp-a and high NT?

Struggling to find any positive stories of people in a similar boat to me. Wondering if it’s possible to have a ‘normal’ pregnancy after getting high HCG, low papp-a and a high NT result at the 12 week scan?

My results were:
Nt: 3.3mm
HCG: 1.5
Papp-a: 0.67

Thank you

No idea so I will bump for you 💕💕

I don’t know personally about the others but low pappa had zero effect on my pregnancy. Baby was above average size and no issues with placenta. I think it’s fairly common for it not to have any or much effect.

@candlelightsatdawn thank you 😢💕

Hi - in short, yes totally possible - what was your overall chance calculation for the scan? None of those individual measurements are alarming in themselves - the calculation of overall chance of chromosomal changes takes into account a couple of other things too. remember the PAPPA and HCG numbers are just expressions of how far from the “average” your result is. In terms of low papp a and risks associated, that is for 3.5 is the cutoff for additional review. So if your overall result is low risk then I wouldn’t worry.

@TenThousandSpoons0 hello so my overall risk is 1:31 for DS. The crown rump length was 53mm at the scan and NT in comparison was 3.3mm so very high for size of the baby 😭

I have been reading lots of journals and various studies over the past few days though and it does seem to show there can be positive outcomes so holding onto a bit of hope

@HopefulRose your NT measurement is normal! The crl has to be at least 45 mm to make the NT accurate. Your babe is bigger than that so the measurement is fine.
Your Papp a is also not low, low is defined as below 0.4, your is fine. I think you are borrowing worry here. How old are you? That contributes hugely to the nhs 12 week screening

@Sleeplessem thank you - I’m 31.

I actually heard from the hospital this afternoon. My NIPT has come back with a lower chance for all three trisomies.

Thank you to everyone who has replied to my threads and wished me well over the past five days.
