Hi ladies little bit of back story I'm being induced at 36 weeks due to baby measuring small and my waters breaking 2 weeks ago but I've herd horror stories about being induced ect so I would love to know if there's anything I could try to do it naturally, her heads fully engaged I'm in so much agony with my back and hips I try to walk as much as I can and sex is off the table to much risk of infection due to waters breaking any ideas would be appreciated😊

Bouncing on a ball, walking, nipple stimulation, colostrum harvesting.

Hope all goes well for you birth however it happens x

Yes colostrum harvesting might be especially handy since your little one will be here a bit early!
You can order 1ml syringes on amazon but you might not get any for the first couple of days trying anyway. There's some good videos on YouTube. Good luck!

I believe sex and nipple stimulation are the only medically proven ways.

Sorry to be a Debbie downer but I tried every single thing I read about for weeks and nothing worked 🤣 but if you insist:
Spicy food
Raspberry leaf tea
Birthing ball
Bath with clary sage oil
Rub clary sage oil on your bump
Nipple stimulation
Lots of walking
Going up and down the stairs
Driving over speed bumps

Only one my midwife mentioned was sex, so you might have to be prepared to go there!

Sorry ignore the sex suggestion as you can’t do it can you

Chanel05 · 08/09/2021 13:51

Nothing worked for me either I'll add. There is research that a bath with clary sage (which smells foul by the way) increases your chance of haemorrhaging. I had an emcs and had a major haemorrhage during it. Had a few baths with it during pregnancy.

I practically drowned myself in clary sage oil when I was pregnant and I was absolutely fine. HOWEVER don’t put yourself at risk. If you read negative things about it and you don’t like the sound of it, that’s fine.
