Just had my dating scan and my due date is 10th March 2022.
I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me work out when the weeks my maternity pay will be based on will be?

I’m normally paid on the 28th of each month and know it’s weeks 17- 25 of pregnancy but read some things to say it’s based on the beginning of the week as opposed to when your week changes based on due date, if that makes any sense? So I’m 17 weeks on a Thursday but I’ve read that it’s the Sunday before that it is calculated from.

The reason I’m interested is the pay rise back date is due to be paid in Septembers pay which I know would be included in the calculation. Just unsure whether my pay would be based on Sept and Oct or Oct and Nov pay.

I have contacted pay roll but they are always quite reluctant to give any information I have found in the past.

Your pay will be based on what you earn between the 15th week and 30th week of your pregnancy. By this I mean your enhancements, so if you worked all Sundays during these weeks you would have a higher average wage than if you just worked week days.
If you are due a pay rise after this point, this will still be included in your maternity pay.

For example, I was a band 3 when I was pregnant. During weeks 15-30 of pregnancy I worked Saturday and Sunday days which increased my average enhancement take home. I also had a contract signed that two months before my due date my job was changing to a band 5. So I had maternity pay with the band 5 pay and the average enhancements take home during weeks 15-30 - I hope this makes sense.
