Hi ladies!!

Just found out I'm pregnant ( 4 weeks) I am quiet nervous as this is my first time so need some suggestions on any book that I can read to understand the do's & don't and also about diet/ exercise/ vitamins I need

Hello abs Congratulations Thanks

I'm not sure of a book, it's been a while since I was PG, but have a look at the NHS website. Lots of info on there about what to eat and what vitamins to take.

Hopefully someone will be along soon with a book recommendation Smile

The Positive Birth Book: A New Approach to Pregnancy, Birth and the Early Weeks https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1780664303/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabcWCRSNVKMKSKYS7MMSJ4Z

This book really helped me with my pregnancies.

Congrats OP!

Congratulations!

My favourite book for my pregnancies was 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' but that was in the early 2000s.

Just wanted to say that it's early days yet, but if you're thinking of BFing at all when the baby arrives I'd avoid the "What to Expect" books as they're on the Kellymom list of books to avoid.

Expecting Better by Emily Oster. I’ve recommended it to everyone. It really helped me relax a little around what I could/couldn’t do.

One caution though I would suggest just reading the trimester you’re in as I found some of the info later on a bit overwhelming when I was in my first trimester.

Congratulations!

@DominicRaabsTravelAgent Nonsense! I breastfed both of my DC quite happily.

That's great but I was just warning the OP that Kellymom don't recommend these books, that's all.

I stared reading the most popular one which is What to Expect When You're Expecting' it seems to cover a lot of information

But please suggest if there are any personalised books out there, talking about baby's development each week and what sort of food and lifestyle we need to pick.. would absolutely love it it's spiritual as well

For week by week development, check out the “what to expect” website (it has good little update videos as to what’s been happening each week) and/or Emma’s Diary app. We look at those each week and it’s lovely to be able to follow baby’s development x
