How do I hide my pregnancy on my own hen do?!

Hello all, I will be 11 weeks pregnant when I leave for my hen do Friday. It's taken nearly 4 years to get pregnant, we finally did through ivf. Some friends know I went through treatment recently, but do not know the happy results. My sister and MOH organising it know, but I just don't know how I will keep it from everyone else - who stays sober on their hen do?! Im just conscious that we are yet to have the all important nuchal scan, which will be the following week.

Is it risky to tell people before? Or should I just embrace it and tell them the happy news?

Can you afford the Harmony blood test rather than waiting for 12 and 20 week scan?

Mine was also an IVF pregnancy, I was so worried I didn't tell most people until I was 22 weeks so I understand how you feel but honestly this is going to be impossible to hide on your hen do and I assume the people who know you did IVF will have figured it out anyway.

Or postpone your hen do by a few weeks?

Congratulations on your news!

If it were me I would be telling them. It will be so much easier than trying to avoid/ hide the non drinking. It would also save a lot of awkwardness if anyone unknowingly bought you a drink with alcohol in it and you had to ignore it.

Also the perfect excuse to leave when you're tired, everyone will be understanding. I know at 11 weeks I couldn't keep my eyes open past 8pm!

Hey there! First of all congratulations on your pregnancy!

I think it's wrong that we live in a society that we have to create excuses for NOT drinking, but I do understand how you feel.

What did you end up doing?

@IsabelHerna I totally agree! But I guess it more that I would always drink fir events before and my own hen do... certainly suspicious!

I ended up telling everyone! With a caveat it's early days. There were many tears and I think made the whole weekend even better!! It felt really special :) x
