Hi all, looking for some advice…

I’m 11+ 4 & up until this point I haven’t felt brilliant but also not too bad, very tired and a little nauseous (mainly when I don’t eat) but no being sick also had a headache here and there, constant peeing etc but over the last two weeks had days where I’ve actually felt fine!

Since Thursday I have been feeling worse and worse. I’m throwing up a couple of times a day my energy levels are through the floor - I have this constant horrible full feeling in my stomach & a splitting headache! I did have a bit of a sore throat and a cough that lasted 24hrs but tested negative for corona.

By today I’m actually in hell - I feel awful. Has anyone else had this? Symptoms getting worse? Do we think this is a hormone fluctuation or maybe some kind of bug?

I actually don’t know what to do, I’m expected back in the office full time from tomorrow and calling in sick is not an option but I feel horrendous!

Also just to add, I’ve completely lost my appetite this whole time I’ve been very hungry - waking up in the night starving. Yesterday I had a big meal at 3pm and had to force myself to eat this morning!

I had nausea and fatigue, but nothing major up until 12 weeks. At that point, I fainted at work, got sent home and spent the next 10 days to 2 weeks feeling the worst that I have felt. Just short of 14 weeks, I woke up, nausea had gone, food aversions had gone (I can eat chocolate again!) and seemed to have a new lease of life.

Apparently you get a hormone surge at the end of your first trimester, as the placenta takes over and that can make some women feel awful, but as soon as the placenta is fully up and running, symptoms subside.

Congratulations on the pregnancy and hope you feel a bit better soon x

Up to week 12 I think I’d been sick 3 times, and they were my own fault for not eating quick enough. However 12-17 I’ve lost count! Thankfully seem to be over it now, but my body seemed to really dislike the feeling of congestion or a snotty nose.

I felt okay until around week 14/15 and then hit the floor. It was like a constant bad hangover for 3 weeks and then began to ease! I felt like I was making it up as you don’t hear about symptoms worsening at this point, but it seems to be the experience of a lot more women that I expected! Just rest up as much as you can and it will get better x

@AllSinging @ @Pitstop1986 Thank you so much for the responses! Makes me feel better knowing this can happen, just wish it didn’t feel so awful! :(

For me 10 to 18 weeks was the absolute worst time. I won't go into detail but it was grim.

I'd been feeling generally pretty rubbish from 6+5 and was just waiting for 12 weeks in the hope I'd suddenly feel better, and actually from about 11 weeks I got worse! I went from just being constantly nauseous to actually throwing up, waking up with a splitting headache at 3am everyday and having that constant full feeling and really bad indigestion.

I started to feel better at 14+2 and have just realised that yesterday (14+5) I took my anti-sickness bands off in the shower and forgot to put them back on!
