Feeling light-headed

Im nearly 33 weeks pregnant and felt absolutely fine for most of the pregnancy. However, this week I've had 2 occasions when I've gone really light headed and thought I would faint, and had to sit down for a time until the feeling passed. Any idea what could be causing this?

Your body is working incredibly hard so it's not surprising you go a bit flakey from time to time. Is your blood pressure okay? Are you drinking enough water and getting enough rest?

its just low blood pressure and thats because you sharing blood with expanding bump filled with baby so it taking longer to get round your body and back, it could have been a drop in blood sugar

Blood pressure is fine, but have been pretty busy this week so maybe that's it. First time was in Matalan hunting for nighties to take to hospital and ir was hot and stuffy in there. Today was the second time. No obvious reason springs to mind for today. I'm not sleeping well at night due to my whale like body so maybe that could account for it. Am due to see midwife a week tomorrow but might see if I can see her tomorrow instead just to put my mind at rest.

Try and get one of those long pillows, it can help you sleep better, increase your water and listen to your body. Sounds very much like you are overdoing it. Remember you are growing a whole entire person inside you so you aren't going to be as energetic as you were.

Thanks for the advice. I suppose I do think I can carry on as I have before and having such an easy pregnancy so far has probably made me forget what my body is doing. That's it now... feet up and eastenders for the afternoon!

There is no such thing as an easy pregnancy I'm afraid, they all have a tough bit. Sometimes it's spread out and it's bad the whole way through and sometimes it's one particular bit at the end involving fitting something the size of a melon through something the size of a drinking straw
