Hi, April this year we got the horrible news that we had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks pregnant. I was devestated it took me quite a bit of time to heal but I've just found out I am pregnant again. Im trying to do everything in my power to be successful this time. Is there any dos and donts that aren't very well known. I know about the no alcohol or smoking and limit caffeine. No undercooked foods or vitamin a. No dying my hair or having nails done. And take folic acid. Is there anything else that is a major nono or something I should start doing? Thankyou in advance.

I took ibuprofen when I was pregnant the first time to, without realising I shouldn’t (I only had one dose) and went on to sadly miscarry that baby. I then found a horrible scaremongering article in the Guardian about ibuprofen and miscarriage and worked myself up into a state thinking that was why it happened. I’m more rational about it now and know it was probably just a rubbish set of chromosomes or a dodgy sperm/egg and one of those things but that article was extremely upsetting at the time.

I think that was what it was when we had mc I was in a bad state and googled allot of things and got myself worked up but I understand sadly its quite common for people to lose there first. Am sorry to hear about your loss. How did your 2nd pregnancy go if u don't mind me asking?
