CTG not met criteria twice with reduced fetal movement

I’m in hospital due to reduced fetal movement. I’ve had two CTGS since this morning and neither have met criteria 😩

Has anyone else had this?

Hello, yes! I’ve had this happen to me today. Went in due to decreased movements. 3 ctgs and criteria not met during any of them. I’ve been booked in for a scan tomorrow. Hope you’re getting on okay?

Why are they waiting around with CTGs that have not met criteria? That’s really quite worrying. Have you had a consultant review?

In my case today, the midwife said she’d consulted the doctor and that he wasn’t too concerned but they’d do a full check at the scan tomorrow and perhaps another ctg. I’m 38 weeks. There were no accelerations in heartbeat and I still couldn’t feel any movement but the general heartbeat was good and consistent.
I assume they’ll respond differently depending on why the ctg didn’t meet the criteria?

Reduced fetal movements at term and a CTG that doesn’t meet criteria should be a senior obstetric review at the bedside and admission to hospital for regular monitoring if not a plan for expedited delivery. What is the point in using Dawes Redman criteria if you then ignore it? Not my trust but see page 2 of this document: secure.library.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/PAGL/Shared%20Documents/Antenatal%20Cardiotocography%20UHL%20Obstetric%20Guideline.pdf

Absence of accelerations and RFMs already suggests that baby is going into self preservation mode. Why wait?
