Hi mums, having my second section in approx 5 weeks. I’m not afraid of the actual procedure, previously I was so excited to meet the baby I didn’t care one bit what they were doing - I’m sure I’ll be the same this time around:) but I wonder did you find the recovery easier or harder second time around? I’m in Ireland so we stay in hospital for 4 or 5 nights and previously I found day number two to be absolutely aweful- prob the worse day of my life. It got better after. What’s your experience with second section?

They don’t cut precisely @Garman because it doesn’t heal as well, they tear 🤢

@Sceptre86 nooooo, might ask for headphones 🙈

@Amz6219 don’t read this kind of stuff beforehand - that’s my advise :) trust me, you won’t hear anything. You will be too excited to meet your baby and the staff and nurses will be talking to you, it will be over before you know it! A visit to the dentist is 100 times worse than this. You will be fine. I have absolutely ZERO pain threshold and I thought I’d be terrified, I was only terrified for a few minutes until the doctors started making jokes and making me laugh etc. You got this!
