My period was due on Saturday (roughly, can sometimes be an extra day)

I had a lot of PMS symptoms last week, back ache, belly ache , sore boobs etc but they have all now gone apart from the sore boobs

I've had a little bit of fed spotting , very very light about once a day (Monday and yesterday)

I took a test yesterday which was negative, so I have no idea what is going on? Especially as I had PMS symptoms last week.

Have you had your vaccine in the last couple of months? It’s happening to so many people :(

Km12345 · 25/08/2021 08:56

@thebookworm1 yes I have , i had my last one in June. The 1st vaccine delayed the period , but surely as my last one was 2 cycles ago this couldn't impact it 😣😔 bit worrying if that's the cause!

@Km12345 Anecdotally, I've had one close friends and heard of several people with periods completely disrupted for months. The impact on periods has been ridiculously downplayed unfortunately. Hopefully it will get back on track for you soon.

@Iris2020 thank you for your reply

I'm assuming then if it's messing period up, it's also going to mess with getting pregnant 😥

I really hope it won't disrupt things too much for you! It does make it harder to track ovulation so maybe use one of those ovulation tracking tools.
So many women have been given "false hope" when their periods didn't turn up on time, I think it's really irresponsible for the authorities to consistently deny any link. It would build trust if they were more transparent and said "Yes, it can disrupt for up to 6 months etc and ovulation can or not be affected". Right now, nobody really knows aside from the fact many women are clearly experiencing fairly severe period disruption which can't be put down to stress.
