Hi All!
This may sound like a daft question, but this is my first baby & I have no clue what to do especially with Covid-19 restrictions still somewhat in place. How do I go about, booking my first appointment? I presume, i just need to contact my GP and they should get the ball rolling?
Thanks Guys! :)

It varies in all areas. If you phone your Drs and say to the receptionist you've got a positive pregnancy test, they'll tell you what to do - whether it's a Drs appointment or a hospital hotline.

In my area, you contact the midwifery team directly and they will book you in, then they inform your GP that you are expecting and go from there.
If you’re not sure tho, call your GP surgery and they can advise you on what you need to do.
Congratulations Flowers

In my area you call your GP then they text you an online self-referral form. You fill it in then the midwives call you.

I called the GP and they asked me to fill out a form for the midwife. I also had to call the midwife and book my 8 weeks appoitement ( the first was over the phone, the second in person where they take your blood and urine test. You will choose your hospital and "soon" you will receive a letter about your 12 weeks scan.

I phoned my GP and they passed on a website where I could register with the midwife and get all relevant info. The midwife then called me to book in my first appointment Smile congratulations on your pregnancy
