I found out I was pregnant, around 2 weeks ago & I am now around 7 weeks &1/2 days. I have just finished my degree and starting my masters in September, and have began to embark on training contracts. Because of this I’m terrified of telling my parents, although they are proud of my achievements & have always focused time on me, I’m scared they will be disappointed that I’ve become pregnant at this age, and I feel like they’ll think I’ve failed & I’ll never get to a good place. As, my mother can be rather opinionated in relation to things like this, as no one in my family has become a mother at this age. I really want this baby, please could anyone in a similar situation of any kind, possibly advise me or give me some ideas on how & when to tell my parents?
Thanks all! :)

So I haven't been in your situation, but I think you probably need to make a plan. When you tell your parents, if you calmly explain how you're intending to make things work, I imagine that'll make it way easier for them to feel supportive of you.

It's super scary and you are young, but you're not a child, and if you want to do this then you'll do it, and I'm sure you'll do it well. Sit down, do some sums, work out how long you're going to take off, some ideas about childcare and returning to work, all of that stuff, and then explain to your parents.

Also try to tell them the news like you're pleased about it - I think if people hear news framed as positive they're more likely to respond as such.

Good luck

Good advice above. I'd also get in touch with your uni and see what support is available. I was a mature student and was pregnant twice during my undergraduate degree and then had two small children during my master's, it's hard but doable with the right support. Good luck! Flowers
