12 week booking app - but I'm 10 weeks - very very nervous

Hi All
I know I'm sounding a little crazy now at this stage but I'm very anxious and would love some positive stories
I'm a 34 yo first time mum who's 10 weeks 2 days today - had an early scan at 7w4d and had a heartbeat and looked good.
Have my booking app at 10w4d which I'm hoping they will give me another scan as it's not normally done until 12 weeks. I have long cycles so the edd calculated by the GP was inaccurate but I knew my dates lined up and an early scan confirmed that
Mild cramping but no spotting, I've ibs so the hormones have exacerbated this but I can't help worrying that something is going to be wrong. Is this normal did other people feel this way?

Your booking appt is different to a scan. You will probably just go to your gp practise and discuss the pregnancy and she will have lots of routine questions to ask you. You will get a separate letter with a date for your scan, which you will probably go to your local hospital for.
Mild cramping is very normal :)

As before, it’s just paperwork. You won’t get a scan until you’re 12 weeks.

Completely normal to worry and overthink. I was exactly the same. Couldn’t really believe I was actually pregnant! It’s easy to say ‘don’t worry’ but doesn’t really make a difference. Hopefully knowing you are definitely not alone in your thoughts will help.

ah sorry, I should mention my booking appointment is with the hospital itself I've already met with the GP and it all is good on that front - he then sent a letter to the hospital to register me, do bloods, scans, consultation etc. The scan is listed as one of the things they do but I'm not sure if they will go ahead as I'm not quite 12 weeks
Thank you all though this is helping :)
Thank you@SGChome20 that is super helpful to know I'm not alone :)

You'll be fine, but do tell the midwife that you've had cramps in case she wants you to have an early scan.

Your booking appt is with your midwife, which usually takes place at the gp surgery but you may be meeting your midwife at the hospital then. I've never heard of any trusts doing a booking appt and scan at the same time
