What counts as reduced movement

I'm hoping to get some advice about what counts as reduced movement! I'm currently 26+5 weeks with an anterior placenta and I've visited the community midwife team (who are always super lovely) every week since about 22 weeks due tk anxiety over not feeling baby move sometimes. I've had no particular patterns but since about 10 days ago I've had strong kicks and even when I've not been able to see her kick I've definitely felt deeper movements that feel like they're behind the placenta. However today I've not felt her in the frequency and strength I have been for the past week. Is that reduced movement? I know you don't really have a pattern until 28 to 32 weeks and the advice seems so vague.

My NHS trust says that any reduced movement from 26 weeks you should go to your MAU and not the community midwife but I'm worried I'll be wasting their time as I'll probably get there and she will start bouncing around! I've tried eating a chocolate bar, prodding my tummy, drinking a cold, fizzy drink and I've not had much. Maybe the odd flutter but nowhere near as strong as normal.

If your ever unsure about her movements go in. Your not wasting anyones time

You won't be wasting their time. That's the message they always drum home - when I went to get my bloods done the other day there was a huge sign in the waiting pom saying do not wait until the next day and always ring them if you're concerned.

Your never ever going to waste anyone's time when it comes to reduced movements.

I had an anterior placenta too and was in and out!

Thanks everyone! @PeasPeasPeasAreGoodForYou the anterior placentas are so worry inducing aren't they! I know deep down that everything will be okay and I feel like I'm wasting their time and my husbands time to drive me the 50 minutes to the MAU and I'll feel like an idiot! But at the same time not feeling her move as much or as strongly really upsets and worries me

Yep I hated it! 30 weeks is when I felt better and felt constant movement.

Please don't put it off though op.
Someone I worked with held off till the next day and it was too late.

Ring MAU and go in. Do NOT hesitate.

If you're not happy, then you should go in. I'm an inpatient in maternity just now for a different reason however every single member of medical staff and midwives, here and in triage are just constantly saying any movement worries let us know, they will absolutely never think you're wasting their time. Heard one say the best part of their day is when a mum gets reassurance that her baby is well, they would never want you to wait and worry at home.

Thanks everyone. I ended up having a nap this afternoon and think I've felt some light movements. I've rang the MAU who said to lie on my side for an hour with no distractions and if I don't feel anything at all in the hour then ring them back. Will update later

Fingers crossed you've had some movement!

So far I've felt her 11 times in the last hour and 10 mins! I think she is behind my placenta because the kicks feel deeper than usual rather than at the surface
