Sac and yolk low in uterus

Hi I'm new to this so hoping for some positive advice, my partner and I have been trying to conceive for 8 months now finally getting a positive test about 3 weeks ago, 2 weeks ago I was taken into the early pregnancy unit with pain, they thought as there was no bleeding it may be ectopic but was too early to tell from scan so said I would need to come back a week later however hcg blood were rising so they were hopeful, anyway on Tuesday I was taken to a+e due to bleeding hcg bloods had rose from the previous week so was sent home and told to Come back next morning for scan. So yesterday I went in for the scan where I was told it wasn't ectopic and a sac and yolk could be seen however it was extremely low in the uterus. She asked if I'd had a previous c section which I have but she didnt say what relevance that had, anyway once done she sat me down and said I would need to Come back next week for another scan to confirm miscarriage, she gave me a bag with things in to put whatever blood I pass in. I only bled for the 1 day it has now stopped and I am so confused what to think, I asked her if she was 100% and she just said due to the implantation being so low she was airing on the side of miscarriage and would need to confirm next week. I have tried googling to find some hope but not having much luck so just want to ask here to see if anyone can give me some hope xxx

One of my twins implanted very very low - she had slow growth the entire pregnancy - and physically pregnancy was hard with lots of bleeding - I did end up with a placental abruption at 34 weeks but she was otherwise healthy x

I went to a&e with significant bleeding and cramping and scan showed that the embryo was much lower than it should be. The doctor who examined me told me that everything could still be fine and low implantation doesn't necessarily mean miscarriage. In my case it wasn't good news, but there is hope, especially if you don't have a lot of bleeding or cramping. I hope you get good news at your follow up scan.

Hi @Ejs2021 have almost exactly the same happening right now too.
I had bleeding with clots on Sunday (although no pain) and went for a scan Wednesday at the EPU who said that I had the correct size sac and yolk sac but that is was very low in my uterus and I have a very large subchorionic hematoma above it. The scan tech said she was 99.9% sure I would miscarry. I have another scan next Wednesday to confirm miscarriage and then decide what to do. I cannot see myself passing this pregnancy naturally so I think I will go with a d&c if I get that option.
Also I've had a csection before and this will be my 3rd consecutive miscarriage.

Hi I'm not trying to scare you, but when you mentioned you'd had a previous c section did the nurse say if the embryo was implanted on it or above it?
A few years ago I had a csection ectopic pregnancy...I had some painless bleeding and assumed I was miscarriage, a scan at the early pregnancy unit showed the sac was really low and the nurse said it was just a case of waiting.
Two weeks later at a follow up scan there was more development and a visible heart beat but the placenta was growing into my c section scar.
What followed was pretty confusing, they wouldn't let me go home at all in case it ruptured as I would losea lot of blood, one midwife hadn'theard of it, another consultant wasn't sure what to do, I was even transferred to a different hospital...but unfortunately the consultant said the risk of hemorrhage to me plus a few other risk factors meant it wasn't advised to continue.
My surgery went badly, I bled way too much and it actually took nearly 6 months of weekly hospital visits until I was physically recovered, which obviously made it a lot harder to move on emotionally. I was 10 weeks when I had the surgery.
I really really hope this doesn't happen to you...but it's worth checking it's not a c section ectopic as they are very very rare but life threatening.

@WhereismyHeathcliff thank you for explaining your past experience and I'm sorry you had such a hard time! The scan tech didn't ask me if I had had a previous csection but I will definitely ask about it on Wednesday at my follow up scan. I've got a consultant appointment before the scan so I wonder if it's to discuss this.

Hi all,

Can I ask what happened, as I'm currently in the same boat and very anxious x
