It's so overpriced for what it is. This is a good explanation.

I have it and really love it so far. The carry cot is really spacious and has zips to provide mesh ventilation on the sides. You can also clip the car seat in (we have cloud z). The manoeuvrability it’s absolutely brilliant, you can turn it in really tight spaces. I’ve not used the main pram seat yet as baby is still in carry cot so can’t comment on that. When folded it’s pretty compact. We do have to pop a wheel off when putting it into the boot (we have seat Ibiza) which isn’t really an issue as they just click in/out. Honestly I’ve not got any cons so far apart from it being expensive but you get what you pay for and I’m very happy with it.

Hi @GraceLondon91 I hope you won't mind me hopping on board this thread with you – I'm also looking at the Cybex Priam and have a few Q's I'm hoping people with experience might be able to answer about it!

  1. I live on the third floor with no lift, so interested in the lite cot as the lux cot (bassinet) is big and fairly heavy. However I'm not sure that the light cot can be put down on the floor and work as a standalone bassinet (while you collapse the frame for example, or so they can continue their nap in the lite-cot once home). Can anyone confirm if that is correct?
  1. We also have quite a few big steps up to the front door of our property – I'm wondering if the two-wheel function would prove useful for getting it up those steps?
  1. For anyone living in London or another city, what is your experience with the Priam for public transport, in and out of shops/cafes etc. Is it compact enough?

Thanks so much! x

I dont live in London but in another European capital.
Had a baby 5 months ago and bought the priam with lux carrycot and the seat and the car seat cloud z.

So here is my experience...

The lux carrycot is awsome. It is spacious and ok for naps (our baby only did naps in there for the first 3 months). It has lots of openings mesh type for air flow in the summer.

The seat so far is also good. Nothing crazy!

The car seat is ok. The fact that it reclines is useful when just taking in onto the wheels and baby is asleep outside.

Now the not to good sides
Everything is bulky and heavy!!!!!
The two wheels thingy is ok for 2 large steps.
The pram is very sturdy! But it takes a lot of space. Doesn't fold small at all and heavy to lift up or manipulate in and out of car for example. I was glad i had my husband around.

We actually had to buy a tiny travel pram when we flew because the whole thing just wouldn't even fit in the car with luggages!

But otherwise it is a good quality pram. But no i wouldnt use it in London... to big.

Agree with pp, is you’re looking for a light, space saving pram, the priam isn’t for you. To actually push the pram it’s not heavy at all (after pushing other prams I find the priam a dream). I’ve not faced the problem of stairs so can’t really comment, but I imagine it would be heavy to carry up a few flights of stairs.
The lite carry cot is a glorified cosy toes really so wouldn’t be suitable for using as a bassinet. The lux carry cot is so spacious though so it would be perfect in that respect.
I’ve been on the train with the priam and not faced any problems, even with the larger lux bassinet on. Although this was only the odd time, not regular travel. Going up steps using the 2 rear wheels works fine. I found it fine putting it in the car and found it folds pretty flat (rear wheels are large though and these are what take up the space - I have to just pop a wheel off to get it in the car but it’s no issue). I can’t recommend the priam enough, however for London it’s probably not ideal as it’s far from compact. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much both of you. It's really helpful to get feedback from people with firsthand experience of it. Back to the drawing board then I guess 😅
