Ttc after covid jab?

Hi all! I am ttc after a mc (with erpc) and about to get my first covid jab. With all the information going around in the news I thought I would rather be vaccinated before conceiving again, specially with the winter and a possible 3rd wave coming, but I am concerned the jab will stress my body and make having a successful pregnancy to term even harder. I would love if we could share here stories of pregnancy after Pfizer or AZ. Many thanks and baby dust for everyone!

Conceived 2 weeks after first moderna jab. You'll be fine, try not to overthink it. X

I got pregnant two weeks after my second jab between my IVF retrival and transfer. we had been told we'd likely never conceive naturally due to my DH's v low sperm count from cancer. Can't explain it just be happy and accept it. I am now 16 weeks :)

I have a friend that had three early miscarriages, had her covid vaccine and a week later conceived, she's currently nearly 10 weeks so fingers crossed for her x

And another who had an ectopic earlier this year and also got pregnant two weeks later by complete accident and also ten weeks and so far so good.

Not saying it improves your fertility but it certainly doesn't seem to do any harm

@Babycakes39 @Katefoster congratulations to you all! That’s amazing! Which jab did you all get? Could you choose?

@Kruge21 all three of us had pfizer

Kruge21 · 17/08/2021 20:02

@Bells3032 thank you! All your stories certainly put my mind at ease.
I have to say I am glad I didn’t get my jab before the mc as if not I would have thought the jab caused it and feel so guilty about it. You can’t imagine the mental turmoil I had once it sunk it thinking I caused this due to work stress, age, eating a salted beef bagel, going to the dentist.. so I know the jab would have gone straight to the top of that list 😓
All your stories will help me get the jab “guilt free”.
Thank you!

@Kruge21 I didn't even realise I was pregnant til I was 7 weeks and during that time I went to the dentist, drank alcohol (my only alcohol in 18 months), had my hair dyed, had soft boiled eggs and ran up and down a mountainside. I also love salt beef and usually have it once to twice a week. Sadly miscarriages happen and we don't know or understand why but it's unlikely to be anything you did. It's usually just the egg didn't divide quite right. There's nothing you can do about it. Please just don't stress or blame yourself. And good luck for the future.

Thank you all for your responses.
Just wanted to update this post in case someone stumbles across it.
I'm very happy to say it turns out I ended up falling pregnant shortly after the Covid jab and already had my 12 week scan and so far everything was looking good.
I feel extremely blessed to be pregnant again, although this time around is a bit nerve wracking due to past experience, but I just hope everything continues moving forward and baby is born healthy and well.
Thanks all for your kind words in this post. @Bells3032 thank you!

Ah I am so happy to read this update. What a nice thing to wake up to!! I am now nearly 32 weeks and looking like a bowling ball. My two friends are both about 26 weeks now and going strong.

Fingers crossed for you :)
