Hoping someone can give some advice… or just there opinion I guess lol….

I am pregnant and due in Feb 2022, I have 2 children already aged 9 and 4, so this is my 3rd.

I had 2 natural births with my first 2 but I am really worried about going into labour with my 3rd and not having anyone to watch my 2 children at home.
We don’t have any local family… my parents and my husbands parents both live 3 hours away, one up north and one Cornwall way… we are in the middle, it would then be a 45 min drive on top of that to the hospital.
I want to do an elective C-section just so it can be planned and someone can be here to watch my others.
However I don’t know if that’s a valid reason to opt for that.

Im just genuinely not sure what I’d do otherwise….and I really worry about it.
@Arecklessmanor oh he isn’t leaving it all up to me. He is very much getting involved.
Was just asking on here for other options and experiences lol! Thank you
Glad to hear it OP!
There will be a solution, I know I would help out even a vague acquaintance or neighbour in similar circumstances. DH and I live further from family than you too so I know it is complicated.

@mumofmunchkin oh we would absolutely call them, of course we would! There’s no doubt about that… however it would in essence be around 4 hours before I got to a hospital! So was just seeing the other options!
I may also ask about a planned inducement or something that way once I go I atleast I know once I leave it’s with a baby so no waste journey!
Unfortunately with my daughter my mum drove 2.5 hours from Devon at 10pm when I went to labour for then to send me straight home and I didnt need to go back for over a week so she had to go home and come back… which I know can’t be helped or course! Just isn’t ideal…

@Arecklessmanor yeah I would.
However I don’t feel overly comfortable leaving my children with a stranger of which atm that’s what they are as we have only just moved but maybe in time it could be a solution for sure!
