MMC & Chemical Pregnancy -

Hi.

I had a MMC last year & a few months after a Chemical pregnancy.

Whilst I try to remain positive in all aspects of life - I find this is challenging me rather a lot. I am TTC again but absolutely petrified it won’t work out. So I guess I’m just looking to see if anyone else has been through this before and gone on to have a successful pregnancy??

Thank you xx

Hi! I am so sorry, I know how it feels. I had a mmc last November (8 weeks) and a chemical pregnancy in February. My hormones were all over the place after the mc... I was hoping I will get pregnant straight away (read a lot of stories) but my body was not ready and I believe that is why the chemical pregnancy happened.
I got pregnant in April and now I am 18+5 and so far everything is going well. Of course, I can not tell you how stressful it is, I keep booking privet scans to make sure everything is ok.
I understand how hard is to remain positive... I kept reminding myself that even after the mc and the chemical, the fact I got pregnant twice is a really good sign!
Do you feel anything changed since the mc? I had a very strange periods (my cycles are normally 28 days, I started to spot for sometimes 6 days around 20 days and I only had 2 days of very heavy period with strange bright colour). I was really worried so I forced my GP to refer me to get some blood (hormones) and scan done. By the time the results came back all good, I got pregnant :)
It is really just about how much time your body needs to recover. Keep trying, and it will happen!

@Livrose I'm sorry for your losses, it really is heartbreaking! I had 3 early losses in a row, all before 7 weeks. I'm now pregnant for the 4th time and am almost 29 weeks ☺️. I know how hard it is though to remain positive, but it will happen! Just hang in there ☺️ xxx

Oh I have tears in my eyes, this is just what a needed. Thank you so much for sharing that with me ❤️ And a massive congratulations on your pregnancy xx

My periods are still settling down so it’s hard to tell when I am actually ovulating at the moment. Did you use Flo to help you? This is what I am using but read lots of stories on how it’s lot v accurate? Xxx

I'm so sorry to hear this. It's absolutely devastating and I hope in time you can come to heal.

I had a MMC with surgical management, then when my cycles finally started (I was worried they never would at one point) I had a CP.

Following the CP, I got pregnant straight away. I'm not gonna lie, after a MMC, pregnancy is scary, but I'm sat here with my little baby and it's definitely all worth it.

You can 100% have a successful, standard, no issues pregnancy after a MMC and CP.

@Livrose Thank you!
Yes, I had issues with my ovulation too. For some months my ovulation strips were positive for days or it was high but never positive. I used Premom. It helped as I could tell when my fertility window was, but after a while I stopped testing. I was relying on my ewcm, so I knew when I ovulated without testing (I really dried out after the mc it took me 4 months to get cm around ovulation).

@Livrose I had a mmc last January, fetus stopped growing after 7 weeks and then had a chemical in March. I got pregnant again in May and so far so good at 15 weeks. But still nervous at each scan.

I'm sorry for your loss and it's easier said than done to be patient and it will happen. But trust my word, it will happen.

What I did differently from others is that, we went to private fertility clinic to see if everything was okay with both my partner and I. I did an ultrasound of my uterus and also saline sonohystergram (which I think actually helped conceiving again). My partner did his semen analysis. You don't need to do all that but I think sonohystergram actually help with the flow so that sperm can reach the egg easily.
