Pfizer vaccine 1st trimester

Has anyone else had or had any advice on their 2nd Pfizer vaccination during their first trimester? I'm due my 2nd one now but have my doubts and a nurse has shared her opinion that if it was her she wouldn't as there's been no research done and during the first trimester and developmental stage is it really worth the risk?
Any opinions welcome, thank you 😊

Sorry you've had that "advice" OP, I can only imagine the nurse isn't up to date with the latest research, which is that there is no evidence of any benefit of delaying until your second trimester (click here for full info from people with actual expertise in this www.rcog.org.uk/en/guidelines-research-services/coronavirus-covid-19-pregnancy-and-womens-health/covid-19-vaccines-and-pregnancy/covid-19-vaccines-pregnancy-and-breastfeeding/)

I had my first jab at 5 weeks and 2nd at 13 weeks, pregnancy is progressing well! Tens of thousands of women have now been vaccinated in pregnancy so well worth going ahead with your second dose to get full protection for you and baby.

I had my second dose of Pfizer last week at 7 weeks pregnant. The advice is that all pregnant women should be vaccinated, regardless of which stage of pregnancy she's at x

I waited until my second trimester and got 1st at 18 weeks and 2nd at 26 weeks

I had my first dose at about 6 weeks and since had a normal 12 week scan. I’ve not had my 20 week scan yet but I’m not concerned that that vaccination will have caused any issues. There’s been a lot of pregnant women in America who have had the jab which I think is why the advice was changed here. I was told the risk of COVID to the baby is higher than the jab.

I asked this question a few weeks ago on Mumsnet and based on posts here and anecdotes from many US mums- to- be on Reddit, I eventually decided to have my 2nd jab at 5 weeks. Whilst I'm only 8 weeks now, at my first scan (at 7 weeks as its an IVF baby) everything looked fine with fetus and heartbeat.

I was hesitant but got my 2nd jab on GP advice too- as they have evidence that catching covid can cause harm, where as they don't think there is any way the vaccine can cause damage to the fetus because it's not a live vaccine. Unfortunately I have read that one jab only gives about 35 % protection against the new Delta varient, so ideally you need both.

However if you are sure you and the rest of your household can isolate till the 2nd trimester (so no risk of catching covid), then there might not be any harm in delaying till then if it eases your worries? But I decided I couldn't totally avoid friends/family for 7 more weeks, as I don't want to tell them I'm pregnant yet at this early stage. I did have paracetamol at the ready in case I got a raised temp from the vaccine - but I had nothing but a sore arm!

I had my second jab a couple of days after I got my BFP. Reasons being: in the US they've been vaccinating pregnant women for a while and there have been no evidence of birth defects or miscarriages.
If I caught COVID in the 1st trimester and got a bad fever, then there's a chance of miscarrying/birth defects/ something bad happening.
For me I felt it was riskier not to get the jab.
