Pregnancy weight gain

I'm 25 weeks and I've been tracking my weight gain every few weeks or so and so far I've gained 2 stone and 2 pounds! For most of the first 20 weeks I was definitely eating worse than usual because I couldn't stomach anything that wasn't beige or bland but for the last 5 weeks I have been swimming 3 times a week and I walk my dogs every day but I'm still surprised at how much weight I'm gaining at such a pace! I tried to do a modified version of slimming world last week but ended up feeling way too hungry with the reduced carbs! I'm just a bit concerned as my weight was already at the upper end of the healthy BMI scale and according to the NHS I'm morbidly obese with a BMI of 40 now Shock I'm mainly worried about this leading to GD!

Hiya.
I'm just a little ahead of you at 26+6 and have also put on 2 stone. I am also now in the "obese" category based on BMI after starting off in the "healthy" range. My weight gain in pregnancy has always been something I have worried about, having had a history of weight loss and body image issues...
I have ended up going to therapy to help my negative thoughts which has made me see that our bodies are doing amazing things...the extra weight isn't just baby but all the extra blood, water, tissue and fat stores that prep you for labour and beyond. Remember weight gain is only temporary and we can get it off when baby is here. Xx

I've gained over 4 stone in my pregnancy. It was a shocker to me, I even stopped weighing myself by the end as I couldn't face the numbers. No GD, nothing. I am now 9 months pp, and back to pre pregnancy weight, which is in low range of healthy BMI. I am breastfeeding and trying not to eat too much 'rubbish', but other than that no other dieting efforts. I'd say, try to eat a healthy diet and step away from the scales.

BMI shouldn't be used in pregnancy as it is not an accurate reflection of your weight. A lot of extra weight is fluid, blood, baby etc.
I find it extremely tricky putting on the weight too after weight loss surgery and a lot of lost weight before baby.
I looked up average weight gain in pregnancy by week and it did help me feel more comfortable with my numbers if that would help.

I was obese before the pregnancy. I am 33 weeks and haven't gained anything so far. But I am quite obese..
