Has anyone attended such a course and would you recommend any particular one?
I'm considering attending one to have more peace of mind so I know exactly what to do in case any emergency happens...

I did an online baby first aid course a couple of weeks ago via My Baby Academy. Myself and OH found it very informative. There is a huge section on CPR. I have put a link to the class below if this is of any interest Smile

Thank youSmile I actually looked at it earlier and wondered if it was any good.
I also managed to find a course in my area to attend in person and now on the fence if it proves to be more helpful than the online ones.

I would say try and do one in person as the practical side will be be worth it

@Dahlia5 I think an in person one would be great too. I ended up doing the My Baby Academy one as I had done a couple of their free online workshops a few weeks before and ended up with a discount for the first aid one so gave it a go. If you did opt for an online version, they do send you all the course notes afterwards and you can get your practice in Smile

My partner and I went to one this weekend; it was run by Mini First Aid and was excellent. I would definitely echo the above and try to do a course in person as you can actually practice the techniques being taught (for example, how much pressure you need to apply when it comes to compressions).

We did one when I was 36 weeks, was an in person one, have me peace of mind, and when DD choked at 6 1/2 months I reacted quickly. We did it through one of the British red cross courses I think.

Thanks all, very informative.
@annlee3817 Happy to hear that this ended positively!

I think these courses can also give you confidence to react swiftly if something happens. I'll try and book one in person. As you say it will be a better one to learn the practical side.
