Hi all

Does anyone have any advice on how to quit vaping? I've just found out I am pregnant and I need to quit, I am very focused on it but admittedly I'm struggling, does anyone have a technique or a process they used to successfully quit?

Thanks

When it was me I was advised by a midwife to not just stop as I would crave and get anxious which would do me no good. She advised dropping the nicotine level weekly until I'm at 0 then after a week stop all together. That way no body shock and gradual reduction to nothing. I did have a pen, as in one you write with that I used to "vape" 😂

As above, invest in some zero nicotine liquid and mix with your existing. Gradually go with a lower nicotine level until your at zero. Then you’ll find the actually caping habit much easier to give up.

I was lucky - morning sickness hit and I couldn’t vape anymore! I haven’t gone back to it and hope I won’t now. I agree with dropping nicotine levels. You’ll find you crave it less once you’re at 0mg anyway. Good luck.

That's a really good suggestion I totally forgot you could get zero nicotine liquid! Thanks! Xx

If a midwife really told you this she was a shit one The 'anxiety' of withdrawal from nicotine wouldn't cause you or baby any harm unless you have a serious and diagnosed GAD. So many excuses made for not stopping smoking during pregnancy!
