Can anybody recommend anything at all the ease/relieve pelvic pain, currently 32 weeks and CANNOT move on a night in bed, it's torture! I have been referred to physio around 5 weeks ago however still haven't heard anything and have been told again today I will just have to wait but I am beginning to loose the will to live! (Also heard it is just a telephone appt. so if anyone has had one and any advice would be appreciated!)

I feel your pain, mine started at 32 weeks I’m now 37 and on crutches, in the end I went to see a private physio just to get seen quickly.

There are some light exercises you can do (HSE website has some) but for me the main things have been to keep moving positions in the day every 20/30 mins. Keeping legs together at all times, so in and out of bed, car etc. Taking the stairs one step at a time. Pillow in between knees for sleeping and get a piece of silk or shiny material, fold in half and put it underneath your bum / hips so when you need to change position during the night it helps to turn you as it slides with you.

I could have written this myself! 32 weeks and referred to physio 3 weeks ago and got a telephone appointment for 3 weeks time but struggling to sleep and walk!

My neighbour is a physio and said not much can be done and maybe try a belt but didn’t seem to
Hopeful. I hope you have been seen and your pain is a little better! Any advice would be great. Another 8 weeks of this 😢

If you can, you could book women’s health physio privately and get seen pretty quickly. I went from debilitating pain when walking to barely registering the pain in 2 sessions. It’s no quick fix but focussing and doing the exercises was fantastic. You do need to find a women’s health physio though rather than a generic one.
It does come at a cost - mine was £55 for the first consultation which was about an hour and waiting for my bill for the second but it was honestly worth every penny.

Do you know the main dos and donts? Turn with legs / knees together, sit down. To put trousers etc on so you're not putting weight in one leg... that sort of thing

See a physio
