Last period June 16th - positive HCG - very dark test (not sure of O date). Severe abdominal pains and cramping on lower left side of pelvis, currently in hospital with suspect Ectopic but scans not showing anything either ectopic or any sign of preg.

Blood test positive and HCG is 245 (re-testing bloods in 2 days) my pain unbearable - just feels like severe cramping like I’m going to start period with additional stabbing on lower left side which makes me fold over in agony. Not got any preg symptoms besides positive test and feeling unwell from the pain that makes me fold over when it comes on, it’s crippling.

Doctor said nothing can be done for a couple of weeks until something shows on scan/my HGC either climbs or decreases - but I just feel lost, scared and confused - I don’t feel like this level of pain can be right so early on?

I’d love to hear from anyone with similar stories and what their outcomes were. Thank you.

I had an ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks which wasn't picked up on the first scan as the midwife only looked at my uterus not my tubes. Told me I was miscarrying & sent me home with a leaflet.

The same night I got pain the same as you're describing, unbearable & had me doubled over. Went straight to A&E & was told it was mc pain. They kept me in for 3 days as my hcg wasn't decreasing & decided to scan me again before discharging me home. Finally discovered my tube had ruptured & I had a huge haemorrhage in my abdomen. Straight into emergency surgery which saved my life.

The only thing that was different to you was that I'd had rust coloured bleeding throughout. Hopefully yours isn't an ectopic but don't let them fob you off & make sure they fully scan your whole pelvis. Good luck Thanks
