Is it too early to tell via pregnancy test?

I had unprotected sex during suspected ovulation about 10 days ago (discharge for several days and high sex drive).
Week later I’ve been having lower back cramping and strong sense of smell
Just over a week later my taste has gone funny - my favourite chicken flavour crisps tasted revolting I couldn’t eat them.

It’s still only been under 2 weeks since possible conception.
Negative pregnancy test today on Monday 02 Aug.
When is the right time to do a test?

After your missed period

I have just come off the contraceptive implant last month so not sure how my new cycle would work. Is the average cycle every 3 weeks?

2 weeks from conception would usually show a positive if you were pregnant but I would wait another week and retest to be sure.

I tested 10 days after conception and got a negative. Then tested 14 days after conception when I missed my period and got a positive.

10 days after ovulation can produce a positive pregnancy test but not always. At 14 days after ovulation, if you’re pregnant it will almost certainly show up on a pregnancy test.

Normally it should show positive one day after your missed period :)

You should do a PCR covid test now though
