Hey. So I I have my midwife appointment next week to book in and have an ultrasound scan for dating the thing is my nearly 8 month old daughter is currently being investigated due to movements with her right arm and right leg being different from her left and also have to have equipment to help her sit up we don’t know why this is yet as still waiting for the appointment with the baby doctor specialist but do I have too tell them?

Sorry it’s so long thank you xx

I wouldn’t think you have to tell them. But I don’t see why you wouldn’t.
You’ll discuss your history at the booking appointment - I wouldn’t see any harm in mentioning it.

Sounds stressful for you - I hope they find some answers for you.
I would say by mentioning it, they will just be more conscious of looking for anything in scans for this pregnancy xx

I don’t think you need to tell them, but probably a good idea to keep them in the loop.

Hope everything goes okay with your daughter and bump!

Thank you, I might tell them so they know they did leave her with jaundice for 24 hours and said I was worrying for nothing as I'm a mum at 25 but I said too them she isn't my 1st & they sent me home with my 6 year old at 3 weeks saying she had a cold and in fact it was bronchiolitis after me having too call an ambulance as she went blue xx

Thank you it's so worrying waiting for the appointment to come though and watching her struggling you have my goddaughter who is 8 months crawling and I like her and think what did I do wrong to make her not to be able to do all this. I do have the same midwife as I had with my daughter so hopefully she understands as she was really good with me xx

You don't have to
If c p it usually is not genetic or running in families
But your h v can advise of local support groups etc

Embracelife · 30/07/2021 22:26

My brother had it and brain damage so it's really worrying I feel so guilty looking at her & other children her age and her not being able to do the stuff the other children her age can do 😭 the health visitor did say she can help with support groups once we know what the problem is xxx

It's looking her not being able to do the things her age does so I always blame myself I think once I know what the problem is I won't feel so bad xx
