Not felt baby move since my first covid jab

I'm just looking some reassurance until my midwife calls me back, I had my first covid jab (pfizer) yesterday and since I havnt felt my normaly active baby move I'm hoping it's just a coincidence I've used my dappled her heartbeat is still there but for me it's not normal how quiet she has been. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm 29 weeks pregnant

NEVER use a home Doppler for reassurance! We go through training to learn how to interpret a fetal heart rate and it isn’t simply yep there is a heartbeat.

Can you determine if your listening to the placenta or the heartbeat? Are you aware of the normal baseline rate at differing gestations? Do you know what an acceleration sounds like? Or a declaration? How about assessing variability? They all determine fetal wellbeing. A heartbeat alone doesn’t mean all is well, the heartbeat will be heard until it stops and then it’s too late.

Sadly women have lost babies due to using home dopplers and not seeking medical advice. They should really ban the sale of them.

I hope everything's ok OP x

This is nothing to do with the jab.

Nobody should use home dopplers.

There is no reason to wait and try Mars bars and orange juice.

If any woman ever feels a difference in fetal movement the ONLY correct response is to contact the midwife unit to get checked out.

And repeat EVERY time it happens.

Hope all OK Smile

Thinking of you OP

For concerns like this you should be straight in to the hospital. It’s nothing to do with the jab. Home dopplers should be avoided

Hope all is well op xx

No one can say it's not to do with the jab. Worth filling out a yellow card, OP, as that gives researchers the information to determine if there's a link or not.

Hope all is well

@AndSoFinally I agree

Absolutely this. How on earth can any of you saying it's not the jab actually know that for sure!!

I had that with my dd once when I didn't feel her move for 3 days 😱 I went along too maternity unit who did a heartbeat check, she was still going strong. Of course not long after that she had a wriggle 🙄
She's 8 now. Grin
