Bleeding and cramping 4 weeks pregnant

I found out I was pregnant on Friday after suffering a miscarriage in February. I am only about four weeks and have cramps on and off since then. This morning I had very brief sharp pains and when I went to the toilet I noticed blood when wiping (brownish pink). EPU don't seem that concerned and told me to monitor it but I can't stop worrying especially given my past history.

@Krimson
Sorry your going though this I understand I myself have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp so totally get the panic, but hopefully it's just implantation bleeding and everything is fine, at this early stage the epu won't see you until at least 6 to 7 weeks but you can phone your doc and ask for your bloods to c if your hormones r rising 💚

Hi lovely.
I've had the same - found out I was pregnant at 9dpo and at 13dpo I started spotting pink & brown.
On the Wednesday (15dpo) it turned bright red but no pain and no clots
On Thursday I lost 1 clot (I would've been 4 weeks 2 /3 days) around 1 inch, Friday the bleeding slowed and since then I've just got brown discharge when wiping.
All tests still positive whereas my last mc were negative within 48 hours of bleeding and I was further along than this so I'm confused.

I don't have any advice but I'm happy to hand hold and go through it with you 🌸

Brownish pinkish sounds totally normal op.
Is it only when you wipe?
I had this and it lasted 5 days when I was 5 weeks.

The cramping etc will probably be because even though baby is teeny tiny your body is still growing and adapting.

Things to look out for;
Bright red blood
Filling a pad
Pain in your shoulder
Discomfort when going to the toilet for either a wee or a poo.

I don’t have any experience of miscarriage and I’m so sorry for your loss. But one of the things that made me take a pregnancy test when I was (unexpectedly) pregnant was cramping at around 5 weeks (and my period being a no-show) so cramping in itself isn’t necessarily a bad sign and is actually quite common in early pregnancy. I also had lots of bleeds throughout my pregnancy, some really big ones, but DD was fine. I understand why you are worried though. Wishing you all the best.

Sorry to hear this. There is no way of knowing what will happen and nothing you can do to stop it. I have had this happen twice. Same both times, but once it was a miscarriage and once it wasn't. I hope it turns out well for you

Thank you for all the messages. I'm now passing clots so don't feel too positive. EPU say to just take paracetamol and phone back if it gets worse. They don't seem concerned at all. I'm 34 too and my age worries me too.

Ah op, just seen update.
How are you doing?

Bancha · 20/07/2021 18:24

Oh OP I’m sorry to hear that. I am hoping for the best. How are you now?

I got my bloods done today and they can't do anything else and I will get my results done tomorrow. I've now got severe period like cramps and the start of a period so I can't see how I can possibly be pregnant. Feel silly for being so sad over something that lasted 4 days and the fact we told people close to us. It brings up all my old worries of being an old parent and something wrong with me

@Krimson take all the time you need. Four days were precious four days

Krimson · 21/07/2021 13:15

They have confirmed my hcg levels are 8 so I think that's a definite confirmation of the loss. I think this combined with the miscarriage earlier this year just makes me think there is something wrong with me
