Hi, i have scoured google and mumsnet and im struggling to find any answers...
Im 37+6 with mild polyhydramnios, LGA baby and they are also in a transverse lie.
This is my 3rd baby, due for elective csection at 38+1 i feel so worried. Everything worries me, her position at the moment is so uncomfortable head on right legs on left of my body, sleep is painful im petrified of squashing her head.
Csection worries me what to expect not with regards the procedure but the baby nobody i know has ever had a transverse baby.
Just looking for some reassurance or even someone who has experienced similar please?

I had a transverse twin 2, she spent the whole of pregnancy that way and she had mild polyhydramnios too. Twin 1 was head down until 32+5 then turned breech before last scan at 36+5. I had elcs with them at 38wk as they don't try to turn twins. They were 8lb 5oz & 8lb 11oz so quite big, most of ours have been and current one is too.
I had to sleep in a reclined seated position for several weeks at the back end of pregnancy as it was too uncomfortable on my sides. You could try that, use lots of pillows for support.

The only thing that was a worry with positions was their hips, they both had ultrasounds on them to check alignment (can't remember how many weeks old they were). Ours were fine and have never had any issues.

Good luck with the birth

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply 😊 i think im going to try the reclined position with lots of pillows. It feels like there is a solid bar in my stomach no matter what i do i cant get comfu! Scared of squishing her head and then her feet. Roll on Thursday, thank you for the heads up about possible need for a hip scan nobody has mentioned that to me.
Thanks again!
