Hi all,

Currently 27 weeks pregnant with twins.... just checking items off my list and wondered what were your must haves?

I need to buy a twin breastfeeding pillow for sure, but not sure on a particular brand.

We have 2 year old two - so any tips welcome!

Thanks Smile

Congratulations OP!

I've not had twins so I'm absolutely no help but have you thought of posting in the "Multiple Births" section under "Being a Parent"? You may get a few tips in there Smile

I had twins in January!

Honestly for me the twin breastfeeding pillow was a total waste of money and my cats now sleep on it 🤣 - my twins were very different weights so I wasn't comfortable breastfeeding both at the same time and whilst it meant a lot of time sat on the Sofa I preferred to do one at a time

Tommy tippee day/night prep machine has been a game changer though when they were weaned onto formula - I got mine second hand on eBay for £30

Mine shared a cot in my room for first few months and I had a Chico next to me down stairs for daytimes

Other than that And a silver cross wave trim pram I don't think I particularly bought something specifically for twins that I didn't already have for my older child.

I'm short and petite - had I been taller/stronger would probably have bought a twin baby carrier though but think you have to import from USA

There is a Facebook group called Britain's parents of twins which is really helpful and informative.

If you're getting a feeding pillow definitely get one with a flat top rather than a squishy one, I used one with mine while breastfeeding and then with bottles, but as the PP pointed out easier if they're a similar weight
I'd also recommend a pushchair with twin carrycots (I had the mountain buggy) that I used for them to sleep in downstairs in the day time
They slept in the same cot for quite a while in our bedroom as it was huge and they easily fitted in together

We just had a normal nursing pillow did the job. I love a travel cot for babies (single or multiple), the bassinet layer doesn't last as long with twins. Bouncers are fab when they are awake more. Biggest play mat you can find, great for tummy time. Mostly double of what you'd have for a singleton. We formula fed and had different coloured bottles so we knew who had what. They shared a cot-bed until they were much bigger, often found them snuggled up together in one when they had 2 though.
