Moving during pregnancy

Hi all
Has anyone moved during pregnancy and had to change trusts/care? Or even cross borders !
I am moving from England to Wales in a few weeks - I spoke to my current midwife who just said to register with the GP when I move and ask them about registering with the community midwife but I was wondering if anyone had experience of this?
I will be 21 weeks when I move and will have had my 20 week scan - is it likely I will need to redo all my bloods, tests, scans for the new trust or will they just use my existing notes?
I am also Rhesus negative (awaiting the 16wk results about baby's type) so not sure if the new trust will want all the blood samples etc again for their own records.
Thanks in advance

Hiya, I moved at 34 weeks pregnant with DS. I had to register with new GP and then make an appointment with the community midwife (no self referral option here at that time). Do this asap as soon as you move. I had essentially another booking appointment and was issued with a new set of notes from the new trust, although I kept my previous notes alongside until delivery. I dont recall having to redo bloods, certainly not scans etc. I am also rhesus negative but had already had my Anti-D at 28 weeks, though no issues getting more given following a small bleed at 36 weeks - should be fine to mention this with the new midwife and get booked in for your Anti-D there, you'll have plenty of time to arrange for this so no worries there. Good luck with the move, tempting as it is leave the grunt work to whoever is helping move and just point where to put things! Good news is you'll have lots of time to get settled and get your maternity care back on track before baby is due. I'll be moving again too this pregnancy unfortunately due to landlord selling unexpectedly, fingers crossed it'll be before baby makes an appearance!

@Kimblebee19 thank you for your reply Smile very reassuring! My next appt after I move is my 25week midwife so hopefully that'll give me plenty of time to organise care at my new location!

I've just moved from England to Wales at 24 weeks!
I rang what would be my new GP the week before I moved to ask what their procedure for transferring my care would be and they told me that they have a midwife that comes into the surgery once a week so I needed to register with them once I was here and then I could email the midwives to get booked in with them. Which I did do.
I already had my 25 week appointment booked in in England for a few days after moving so I drove back over for that (only an hour away) and they took my English maternity notes and scanned all the important bits for me and gave me copies to give to my new midwife if she wanted them.
I ended up having my 28 week appointment with the midwife here and combining that with what was basically another booking in appointment as Wales have their own system. So she took all my booking details and history for my new Welsh notes and got me a Welsh hospital number for bloods etc as well as doing my 28 week checkup. She said I shouldn't need anything like scans or bloods repeated as such, it's basically just going to be a continuation from where I was in England.

I was quite worried about it all but its been pretty smooth. Having the copies of my English notes was reassuring in case I needed to go into hospital in the intermediate time between trusts. I also asked the Welsh midwife on the phone after moving for the assessment unit number so I had that in case of reduced movements etc.

I've moved each time I pregnancy, first time at 32 weeks and forgot to register with GP until 36+weeks Blush think they were a bit alarmed, but all turned out just fine! As above just register with new GP and let them know how many weeks you are and any concerns as soon as you can when you get there, they'll sort it all out.
