Fun pregnancy announcement ideas please

Hi ,

Me and my partner are announcing our pregnancy to our families on Sunday and it was supposed to be our wedding day. Thanks to Covid the whole world has had a rubbish year and of course no wedding  BUT WE ARE HAVING SOMETHING EVEN BETTER A LITTLE BABY SO WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL but was just wondering if anyone has any fun suggestions we could use to tell the family please ?

So I'm planning to just tell my family with a scan photo. I'm with @catinthehat12 though, OP asked for fun announcements, so what is the point in criticizing announcing in this way? If something embarrasses you in front of your own family then that's really sad, IMO.

Firstly, congratulations! Secondly, if you want to do a big announcement to your family, then you do a big announcement! Regardless if people think it's cringe or not, it's your baby and this is meant to be a really happy occasion.

We announced ours over Zoom (thanks Covid) by playing a quiz. The first letter of every answer was an acronym of "I'm pregnant". We filmed their reactions and it's something I'll show our son one day because it was hilarious to watch!

A friend of mine just left the scan photo on the side - we all walked in and were chatting for a good 10 minutes until she said "have you seen this new photo we got?". It was such a shock as there was no pre-warning! Those are the best reactions!!

Whatever you do, enjoy it! It's such a special moment to see everyone's reactions

I have never felt any cringe or embarrassment from seeing someone’s pregnancy announcement. It’s lovely news and I have never felt any other way about that. People who do must be sad inside 🤦🏼‍♀️
