Best items for baby? What's worth it?

Is there any items that are ACTUALLY worth buying or stuff you think is really good for baby?
UK based so if you have brand recommendations too?

For example- is there a really good carrier you like?
A little baby bath you fill up with water?-worth it? Or just a bath support?
Swing?

Any items you couldn't do without? That I wouldn't think of necessarily?

Thanks!

-Sleepyhead- was only thing our DD would stay asleep in in the first 8 weeks.

  • loads of muslins
  • stretchy sling wrap (but go to a sling library for advice and to try out what might work best for you)
  • MyHummy white noise machine- DD now 3 still uses this
  • cellular blanket- great for swaddling baby in
-Angel bath seat
  • Swing- baby loved it
  • foil space blanket for sensory play
  • mini disco light thing from amazon- also great for sensory play
  • flashing marracas from amazon- great for sensory play
  • gro bags for when baby hit 3 months

Ergo baby carrier was by far the best thing I bought. We still use it and he’s 2.5 now. Made life so much easier than schlepping a pram around, I enjoyed the shops and he could sleep.

I have the i-Angel carrier and it's a great product! Only for after they sit (4months to 5 years, apparently)

Also love the Lion Princeheart Weepod (hard seat) for potty training Grin

And very big white backgroung muslin cloths, used it for soooo many things

It really varies by baby so my main advice would be to borrow/rent/buy 2nd hand for things other than mattresses and car seats.
