I had an ultrasound yesterday at 5 weeks + 2 days (or 23 dpo)

On the picture the doctor printed all that can be seen is the gestational sac. No yolk sac, fetal pole. No heartbeat... Sad

All he said was it's very small (11mm according to his measurements) but normal for 5w+2d and to come back 10 days later.

Is it still to early to see anything? Wouldn't at least the yolk sac be visible at this stage?

If you had an early scan at 5 weeks or so, what were you able to see?

I’m also in Tokyo @Und3rl1ng and if you ask for scans here you will receive. Which is nice in some ways but also means bad habits are easily developed. Try and find a way to distract yourself and not go for another scan for at least two weeks. Lots of scans and pregnancy tests won’t change the outcome at this point and will wreak havoc on your mental health!

@Und3rl1ng

Looking at my line progression (or lack thereof) is doing nothing to ease my fears... 😔
I've been trying to use these tests for line progressions.... I can't get them any darker!! I can't get a dye stealer on them... I think it's just the tests as all other tests I have dye stealers on Smile

@dg93 When's your next appointment?
I haven't scheduled mine yet. Probably should wait at least 10 days. I will be almost 7 weeks by then and hopefully will know more...

Was your OB reassuring during your first scan? Mine didn't say much one way or another...

@DPotter I ran out of sticks, so that will force me to keep my POAS addiction in check! Grin

Fab news! I've had 2 chn: 1 at 41 and one at 43. Please don't think that age is necessarily a problem.
