FRER evap line within 3 mins?

Hi lovely ladies, this is my first post ever and just looking for some insights

Been TTC 4 months now and have used FRER each month and always got a very clear BFN with no evap line at all.

I tested yesterday and saw a VERY faint line at 3 mins (first time I’ve ever seen anything come up on a FRER). It was a skinny line but looked pink to me. Wouldn’t show up in any pics, but it was there.

I woke up today excited to test, expecting it to be darker… but it was a BFN much like what I’ve been used to seeing on FRER. There was nothing. Nothing at all.

Is this a common thing with the FRERs?

I did test at 7dpo yesterday at like 6pm, today’s test was at 8dpo around 7am… I know it’s early but could I still be pregnant if I got a BFN after a faint line?

If it was pink then it wasn't an evap line, it only turns pink when it picks up pregnancy hormone.
You're testing too early, why not wait until you've missed a period then you'll know for sure without any of this second guessing.

Hmm!! Ok.. yes definitely looked pink. Just weird that there’s nothing there this morning. I wish I had the will to hold out until missed period! Hahaha thanks for your reply!

I have never had a hint of anything on FRER unless i have actually been pregnant - I think they are definitely the best ones out there and it sounds very promising for you...

7/8dpo is still very early though, try again in a day or so (get a stock in, because I know that feeling, you end up testing far too often! :) )

Ohh @Amz6219 that’s good to hear! I thought maybe I’m going mad and the line isn’t pink at all and is in fact just an evap. Had my husband look at it too and he agreed it was a very faint and skinny pink line. The BFN this morning threw me off big time though!

I have never had evap on FRER, even post MMC when I was desperate for a BFN and period! I think I could be a sales rep for FRER I think they're that good!

I tested early with FRER this pregnancy and was getting massive line eyes, so much so I took the test apart face palm and there was definitely a vvv faint line, my husband couldn't see it. 48 hours later it started to get darker.

Fingers crossed for you - don't want to get hopes up but I think it is promising! x

Hi op, I've only ever had a line when I've been pregnant on a frer but I did get some first response rapid response accidently from Amazon thinking it was a frer and they did throw up positive results when I wasn't pregnant, other people on here said the same thing had happened to them. I think the internet cheapies work just as well! Good luck I hope you get your positive!

@Amz6219 haha I’m glad you’ve got such faith in them and rely on them! I see so many mixed reviews about them that this just scared me. But like you, I’ve never seen anything come up on the FRERs I’ve tested on for 4 months.

@Misspacorabanne oh yes! I heard that too about the Amazon ones so I made sure to buy from Boots. Should be legit I hope! Both the faint line from yesterday and bfn this morning were from the same pack so I am just confused.com.

Sorry to say I had a few frers that had pinkish lines on them.

Sounds like a chemical pregnancy.

@Tinkling I did think this! But with chemical would it show up this early and only for one day? I don’t know enough about chemicals to know for sure.

Early on (i.e. before expected period) it seems that afternoon is better for testing. You are still very early and it takes 48-72 hours for HCG to double so maybe try in the afternoon? Or a few days time?

I agree the Amazon ones are terrible for faint lines when not pregnant but I'd be tempted to believe it if you got it elsewhere! Good luck!

So I couldn’t help myself and I’ve just done another FRER a full 24 hours after the faint line yesterday and it’s a BFN. I know it’s early but I think I’m out this month. Thanks for your replies ladies xx

Sorry to hear that.

Re chemicals, yes they show early and then disappear where implantation doesn’t fully occur. It’s one of those where if you don’t test early you’d never know. However how people avoid testing I’ll never know! Good luck xx
