Advice please -

Best rocker/swing/bouncer that isn't the Baby Bjorn ?

This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’re looking for bouncers, we’ve recently updated our best baby bouncer page with lots of great options tried and tested by MNHQ and real parents. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

No such thing with tiny babies, all their preference. I'd suggest trying them in a friends or getting a cheap one to try. I got a joie vibrating bouncer for DD who wouldn't spend more than 30 seconds a time in there but DS will nap in it for hours every day. Also know if a few people who splurged on a mamaroo and it never got used cause the baby hated it!

We really rated the Nuna Leaf (it goes side to side).

We had a Joie swing and it was fantastic! About £100 from smyths, I stupidly sold it after DS so will be repurchasing now I'm pregnant with no.2, although thinking of upgrading to the Joie swing that is also a bouncer to make life a bit easier

I'm the opposite. I hated the Leaf, and I otherwise love all Nuna's stuff. You need a huge area for it to swing in. It's incredibly heavy, and it doesn't fold down. Plus the toy bar is sold separately.

Didn't matter in the end, as DD had to be held in the day. Barely used the Leaf. If/when there's ever a number 2, I'm getting something cheap that is portable around the house.

Sorry but it’s the babybjorn. It’s just comfy, baby naps. Worth every penny (bought ours last year on prime sale for around £100).
It also folds flat so you can put away when not in use.

Ds now 1. He still uses his to snuggle in in toddler mode ( the fabric turns around With no straps) and read his books and have milk in the afternoon.

We had the older version of this and DD loved it. We would sometimes take the vibration part off and pop it into the bassinet while she napped to help get her off to sleep.
(The vibrations would also help her fill her nappy if she was struggling and hadn't been for a while)

We didn't have a swing because she was so happy in this

I actually found that the best one was a cheap basic one I got from Aldi; the expensive ones were no better and the swings got my DC into the habit of wanting to be rocked while asleep

I've just got a Joie swing from Facebook marketplace, perfect condition for £40! Look for a second hand cheaper one before making an investment in an expensive one xx
