Hiya! I drive a Nissan Micra and have titchy legs so have to draw the seat up quite close to the steering wheel. It?s fine now at 22 weeks but I?m wondering that later on I might have problems with the wheel jamming up against my bump?

I have to sort out my mat leave soon and I wondered if I should take that into account ? I have about an hour?s commute and it?s along lots of windy country lanes.

Hi Lucy,
Got stuck today in sainsburys as someone had parked too close to me had to through the passenger door- Blush!
As for ur question your seat car should be able to recline back and you should still have your feet in the same position ,so ur bump should be okay-imagine all those cider drinkers from camra with Fat bellies!

I'm a shorty and drive a Renault Clio and also have to move the seat right forward to reach. I was driving up until the day before I gave birth with no problems (had to really as DH only 'drives' a motorcycle ).

Another shorty here. I drove up until 38 weeks last time (when I took myself to hospital to be induced) with no problems.

Getting in and out of the car in a dignified fashion was another matter though.

Ta-ness for your answers! I

am having trouble getting out of the car already, but that's because I am v. unflexible. It is good to know it will be okay. My arms are normal length I think!
