Hi,
My doctor told me that my beta HCG levels were 10times higher than normal and they performed an invasive test taking samples from the placenta to do further tests.

Usually high hcg levels are associated with multiple twins (i had no signs of this) or a severe chromosome defect, i forgot the name but smth triophod.

Free Beta hcg was 10x MoM
Papp-A was 2x MoM

I had severe morning sickness very early at week 5-6 and had to get iv drips for dehydration and had a bleed at week 8..

Just checking if anyone had this high rate before? Some of the other threads i read were not more than 3-4x higher than average, but 10x is a bit stressful to hear 😥😥

I really feel for you as I was such a worrier about, well, everything! But try your best to put it to the very back of your mind and to take reassurance from this thread - all of us have had healthy babies! & the doctors I saw were genuinely not concerned about my HCG levels given the outcome of my NIPT and scans 👍. Don’t let the HCG levels ruin your pregnancy. All the best.

For anyone new coming to this thread - I have a gorgeous healthy 3.5 year old girl! The HCG results were never explained.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I had high hcg but the NT scan was normal. She was high risk for Down syndrome 1.99. I didn’t want further testing and she was fine and no further checks were done after delivery
