I was around the 17 week mark, not working from home.

Inthesky42 · 16/06/2021 15:21

After the 20 week scan. Didn't think there was any need for them to know before that given I wasn't in the office

I work from home and told my manager at 16 weeks. I was able to schedule appointments during lunch breaks/days off Smile

ELBlack · 16/06/2021 15:26

I told my line manager at 6 weeks due to complications, but didn't tell HR or colleagues until 14 weeks. 26 weeks now.

I told a couple of colleagues at about 5 weeks. Wasn't intending to but I came over funny at work and as one of them was a first aider, they asked if I was pregnant.

I told my boss & line manager at about 7 weeks, as I booked an early private scan and needed time off to go to it.

Planning on telling the rest of my colleagues (theres only about 10 of us total, small company) after my early scan later this week (assuming all okay!) at 8 weeks - purely because the nausea is kicking in and already having to make excuses why I keep going to the loo and always have ginger biscuits to hand! Grin

Will be announcing to everyone else - wider family (parents already know), friends etc after the 12week scan and I am in my second trimester!

After the 12 week scan, so once I knew I had a viable pregnancy. I knew they'd be supportive, and wanted to give them as much time as possible to find maternity cover.

I told my manager around five weeks because I thought I was having a miscarriage and needed a day or two off. I've told my immediate team now this last week (15 weeks now) and I'm hoping others will just find out eventually. We're all working from home and there's something really awkward about announcing your pregnancy on a video call...!

The day after I did the test, I work in microbiology and handle potentially dangerous stuff.

thingymaboob · 16/06/2021 15:57

4 days before missed period. Paramedic, can't work front line if pregnant

Aranciata · 16/06/2021 17:12

Way earlier than planned!
I WFH and had intended to wait until about 18-20 weeks but had to get signed off sick at 6 weeks. I never imagined how I would feel.
They've been really kind, and will not tell anyone else. I'm not sure when I'll tell colleagues, maybe after 20 week scan.

SamG93 · 16/06/2021 17:23

Around 10 weeks as he was asking me if I wanted to be signed up to have a covid jab (key worker) and at the time pregnant women were advised not to get it so it just sort of awkwardly came out as I felt I needed a good reason to say no! Grin didn't tell anyone else until 12 weeks, after the scan.

Tilly18101 · 16/06/2021 20:09

6 weeks even tho WFH as the exhaustion and nausea were another level, and I needed to flex my hours to accommodate this. Didn’t tell anyone else until 14 weeks, and now 20 weeks and just waiting my Mat1b form so I can send off to HR.

EmbarrassingMama · 16/06/2021 20:11

18 weeks. WFH and manager in another country.

Bambam2019 · 16/06/2021 20:18

I work in a nursery and told my manager only a few days after I found out, as I was being careful about picking up children/moving furniture etc etc. It was also about this time last year so still unsure what the plan was RE covid and if it was safe for me to work.
