Thrush that will not go away 39 weeks pregnant

I'm 39 weeks pregnant and for weeks I've been suffering with extremely horrible and itchy thrush, I keep buying Canasten duo at £11-£15 because it's so bloody hard to see a doctor now but it hasn't worked! Shall I ring the labour ward now or will I be wasting their time, I'm just concerned as it's reoccurring and has been for so long!

You should have been prescribed a course of pessaries rather than just using 1 intermittently. Can you get a telephone appointment with the GP?

@xbabymamax thrush can be passed on to your baby through birth, so should ideally be under control before you go into labour. Don’t think it’s anything to worry about too much if it does get passed on, but obviously best to be avoided if possible x

You need an appointment if treatments have not worked.

GP should be your 1st place to try, they should offer you a phone app at least.
The hospital may just tell you to try the GP.

Are you sure it's thrush? My midwives said that the PH of your vagina changes in pregnancy, my vulva has been swollen and itchy since about 12 weeks, I did go to the GP to check and she took a swab but all was normal.
