Last time I had a emergency c section, this time planned, any good essentials to take for the c section? Thanks

Big granny pants were the only thing I took that I didn't have for my VB's.

Fybogel and OJ.... thank me later....

I mean drink it after the op. Prevents constipation from the drugs. No one needs to strain after that.... 😆😁😆

Definitely big knickers.

A good book ir magazine! Hopefully you won't need that but mine was delayed as they had to take someone in for an emergency section before me, so there was a lot of waiting round beforehand!! Something to do would have been useful!

Perhaps one of those portable phone charger blocks, or an extra long charger? I had a few hours to while away waiting to go into theatre, and afterwards on the ward the socket was about two feet behind the head of my bed so it was a bit awkward texting people

Peppermint tea or capsules for agonising trapped wind
Flip flops/ push on slippers

Thanks, portable charger is already in bag, need to get some flip flops though!

Big knickers (and I mean BIG), long charger, flip flops, dressing gown cord to tie to the bed to help pull yourself up, peppermint for post-op wind, plenty of big maternity pads, bottles of water, hand held fan (postnatal ward is so hot), I took some extra wipes and a couple of flannels for me to pat myself down before I was able to have a shower as it was so hot, ipad or book for the wait before your section (or an entertaining birth partner). Also saw a tip on here to pack baby outfits in zip lock bags so you're not rummaging around post-op for clothes and to lay out nappies, wipes and nappy sacks on the bedside table so they're all within reach. Good luck! I have my planned c section in a week.

@MyBabyBoyBlue mine is on Wednesday! Thanks for the tips, I need to get a fan, I already put babies clothes in zip lock bags!
