At only 14 weeks but can't stand having my bump bear the weight of my clothes. Have worn dungarees for the last 3 weeks.

I haven't bought any maternity trousers yet but I can't stand the idea of something tight and stretchy over my bump. Am I wrong? Any recommendations? O shall I just wear dungarees and dresses for the next 6 months?

Have you tried on maternity jeans/trousers? You can get under bump ones too, I never bought ones with fabric that was tight or uncomfortable over the bump, just enough to stay up.

Ah I'm the same at 23 weeks. I've got a pair of maternity jeans but they're not comfortable for any length of time as I just hate anything putting any sort of pressure on my bump. Also been living in oversized dungarees and I'm loving being able to wear summer dresses this weekend (and I'm really not a dress person usually 😂)

Maternity leggings from H&M are super comfortable and affordable. The leggings are slightly see through so best for dresses but they do a 'tregging'(I hate that word!) that is most definitely not see through yet so much more comfortable than any maternity jeans I've tried

I was the same with tight waistbands but used to love very high waisted maternity leggings, the band at the top is massive and comes up to your bra, they were really comfy and good for the first few weeks afterwards as well. But yes embrace the summer dresses !

Thanks all, will see about sending off for some H&M leggings & maybe some under bump trousers. I am too covid paranoid to have any desire to go to a fitting room in a shop, but can take a punt on a couple of things.

Although - it's not actually a problem to have a look consisting entirely of dungarees and nice dresses, is it now?! Luckily I'm a bit more of a dress person and have several nice loose ones.
