Can anybody recommend any really good pregnancy books? Ones including things about labour etc, reading seems to be the only thing distracting me from feeling nauseas and I have no uni work to distract me now 🤣 thank you!!!

Everyone I know recommends Expecting Better by Emily Oster. Evidence based and readable. Haven't read it myself yet. Actually today would be a good day for me to start!

Birth Skills by Juju Sundin is good. It's more about labour than pregnancy.

Expecting better is ok but very US focussed. (I also found it a bit patronising but maybe just me!)
IMO The Positive Birth Book by Milli Hill is a must read to be prepared & informed for birth. I also read her book Give Birth Like a Feminist which I found fascinating. Some content repeated but a really good read.
For 'beyond' I have been given 'your baby week by week' but it's not meant to be read in one go. It has short digestible chapters to read each week.

I loved your baby week by week. So easy to use

I second the Positive Birth book by Milli Hill. I also read the hypnobirthing one by Siobhan Miller which is also good and the how to grown and push out a baby one but Milli Hill was my favourite. Gave me a good understanding of different stages of labour and different possible interventions etc without being overwhelming or too in your face with the positivity if that makes any sense!?

Like PP I haven't read Expecting Better but it's supposed to be really good

Update: couldn't put Expecting Better down! I didn't find it patronising, I liked the way she explains what evidence there is and why it might or might not be dubious.
