Hello

Has anyone taken the Covid vaccination and become pregnant pretty soon after? Initially I heard if your planning to have baby in the next 6 months, not to take the vaccination, now it's apparently safe to do so.
I've been offered the Pfizer and not sure if I should take it, as we are trying to get pregnant. Am just concerned about the risks. Would love to hear if any ones been in similar situation

I was a bit the same, but I had my vaccine (Pfizer) on Monday and got a faint line on Wednesday, +clearblue digital on Thursday. I've read there's no evidence to suggest it has any effect on ttc or on pregnancy so I just thought why not

I had my first AZ vaccination (I am my children's carer) on 24 March, found out I was pregnant on 31 March, due for second vaccine mid-June, midwife has said it's totally up to me whether I have it then, but that all advice is pointing to the fact that it's better to have vaccine than Covid when pregnant. Currently 12w2, first scan on Tuesday. Early scan in EPU for bleed around 9weeks - placenta was/is sitting over cervix but otherwise all well. MC Oct 2020, 2 x DC already, trying for 3 years.

I had the second dose of the vaccine at the end of March (Moderna) and I fell pregnant mid-May. It did mess up my cycle, though - periods were irregular, but with the ovulation sticks it was fine.

I had the Pfizer vaccine at the start of January, then got a BFP at the start of March. I chose not to have my second dose, having weighed everything up and done loads of reading. I don’t think there’s any right or wrong though, you just have to do what feels right for you.

I’m not in your shoes but just wanted to say if you’re not comfortable getting it while ttc, and then not comfortable getting it while pregnant, you’re going to have to wait such a long time to get vaccinated. I’m pregnant and have had the vaccine but I’d have preferred to be able to have it before becoming pregnant and not have to worry about catching covid, especially with the Indian variant spreading. Hope you find you’re able to make the best decision for you, I totally empathise with how hard a decision it is x

@hellogem there’s another thread here asking the same and if you find it lots of women conceived very soon after. I had my first dose (Pfizer) end of Jan and conceived on my next period - it didn’t seem to change my cycle. I was due the second dose at the beginning of April but decided to postpone until after my scan. Got my second dose yesterday at 14 weeks.

Hi all! Going for vaccine in a couple of days and had a MMC two weeks ago. I will get second dosis shortly after the first one. I'm happy to get it before getting pregnant but feeling concerned about my cycle being messed up as so many women seem to have some menstrual cycle alterations.

I had my second jab in March and had my positive test the following month. I had the Pfizer vaccine.

I had a miscarriage on 8th Jan.
COVID Vaccine on 24th Jan.
Period on 28th Jan.
Fell pregnant that cycle and am now 17 weeks and everything looks really healthy ❤ And that's after 2 years of trying and some help from a fertility clinic. Wishing you all the luck in the world ❤
