How are other sufferers getting on?
I've had spd in my last 3 pregnancies and it's slowly worsened in this pregnancy, now 28wk. I've been powerlifting for almost 4 years now and not willing to give it up just yet, will be forced to for ages if I have to go elcs again and big gaps are hard to deal with mentally (most I've had off to date was 3 weeks after foot surgery). Looking at my training records now there are a lot more gaps where I've taken a day or a week out, tut tut but you know pain can get a bit much sometimes. I was struggling with hip pain yesterday after waiting over 3 hours to see the consultants in those rubbish hard chairs but felt the need to get in and lift. So here I am with the bar and rack set up for squats. I know it's advised to avoid them with spd but my hips actually feel better after a session, so long as I don't do too much volume. I'm at a little over 60% of what I could do pre-pregnancy atm, I found it depressing dropping that much but I know it's pretty good going with the dodgy hips and the extra bodyweight I carry these days.
