Just can't relax

I'm 22 weeks pregnant, have had a good 12 and 20 week scan but just can't relax. All I keep thinking of is what could go wrong and trying not to get too excited. Anyone else feel the same?

Very normal.

I'm 33 weeks and even now, just last night I had another morbid dream. The reality is, the worry doesn't really go away until they're in your arms - and then you're set up for a lifetime of worry as they grow lol

I just try and push the worries away and think of the positives x

@ChunkyButFunky87 ugh I know, that's what everyone keeps telling me. It's just so difficult to genuinely feel excited about looking at baby stuff when there is the slight niggle at the back of my mind that something may be off. 9 months of just no control is no fun Sad

Yup! I’m 38 weeks this week and still can’t relax. It’s a long 9 months of worry, for sure. Although there was quite a nice period in the second trimester when I did feel at ease much more, once I started feeling movements and had reached the golden viability week at 24 weeks. But now I just worry about lack of movements and what could go wrong in labour. I don’t think the worry will ever stop now!

In 22 and half weeks and feel exactly the same. First worry was the 1st scan then was the 2nd scan (all ok) then last week I didnt think he was moving as much a the previous week, although he’s literally moved all day today I nearly started crying to my mum because of this and she told me the same.. “you have a bloody lifetime of worry about your child now so get used to it” lol x
