Hi
Mum of a gorgeous 2.5 year old girl....and wondering if we should try for another?
Only thing is I'll be 43 in August and I'm wondering if it's too late and that's far too old to try....
I don't know any older mums....

Anyone had a second later on?

Thanks mums Smile

I'm 42 yrs (43 in Jan) my partner is 45 yrs, I'm currently 5 weeks 5 days pregnant (conceived naturally). If everything goes to plan by the time this one is born, my other children will be 19, 17 & 15 yrs. I don't feel too old and I'm much more financially stable this time round. I am naturally nervous about the increase chances of a miscarriage or genetic disorders, but what is meant to be is meant to be. This is mine and my partners first child together and we've agreed our last chance, we have so much love to give so hoping all goes well. I'm wishing April next year to be here already, so I know all is ok after my 4th ceaserean as I'm super worried about it. Good luck on your journey. 🙂

Congrats @Jwsc4.
I'm 43 and just delivered a perfect baby boy on July 1st 😊

DC had her first at 44, second at 45 and third at 46. Conceived within 1 mth of trying.

I had DC3 at 42.
In my neck of the woods, it’s quite common… lots of mums giving birth between 40-43. Mid 40s happens but is less common. 44 seems to be the cut-off but 45/46 isn’t unheard of. Definitely keep trying. But stay balanced and focused on your family and the little one you are raising. It’s so easy to get sucked into ‘getting pregnant’ as the be-all and end-all. We all have a tendency to get lost in that headspace.
Best of luck to you OP.

@HolidayGolightly

Hello there. I am 44 years old and 8 weeks pregnant. I will be 45 when this little sprout enters the world. It was unexpected and unplanned. I thought I was going through perimenopause! My older sons are almost 22 and 24 years old now, so there is quite a gap in my pregnancy experience. I have mixed emotions about it right now, but I think it will be just fine. It's definitely possible! :)
Oh wow! That's amazing 👏
