Painful skin tag right on pant line!

37 weeks pregnant and I have what I assume is a skin tag that sits right on the line where my pants sit, so it’s constantly being rubbed and aggravated by clothing. It seems to be getting larger and more painful and I’m getting really fed up with it now. Has anyone else had this in pregnancy? Is there any point calling my GP or will they say it’s just a pregnancy thing and there’s nothing they can do? That’s what I feel I’m getting told with everything else that comes up with pregnancy anyway! Should I attempt to remove it myself? I’m just getting fed up.

They might be able to remove it! It would be good to just get a doctor’s opinion too as it’s a new growth (but normal in pregnancy)

Oh I had this too it bloody hurt!

I tied a bit of string round it at the base, hurt like buggery for a few days then it died and fell off 🤮

Mine was on my nipple, I twisted mine over the course of about a week, it ballooned and then fell off.

Thanks ladies. Glad to hear they’re common but my god, this is so painful. I covered it with a dressing last night and it feels so much better. It’s right in that fold of skin where your pants sit at the top of your thigh, so such an awkward area! I’ll see how it is by Monday and if it’s worse then I’ll phone GP. It was quite angry looking but assume that’s from being constantly aggravated by clothing.

That's made my legs go all jelly Grin

Honestly, google tying them off with string, it's worth it, but there will be a few days where it hurts like buggery.

You can tie them off with cotton/string and cover with a plaster so it doesn't rub.
